Virtual Cinema

The "Virtual Cinema" of the "Hellenic Cosmos" Cultural Center offers a unique interactive experience for young and old, giving them the opportunity to visit historical monuments and sites of our cultural heritage.

Virtual Environment

Using cutting-edge technologies, such as stereoscopic glasses, visitors feel as if they are immersed in the environment created by the three-dimensional digital graphics. Additionally, there is the option (depending on the installation) to navigate with the help of a hand-held interactive device, where one of the visitors can direct the tour and actively participate in the exploration and sometimes even modify the virtual environment.

Portability

The portability of the "Virtual Cinema" allows for its transport and installation in outdoor spaces for exhibitions and conferences, making it an accessible virtual reality system that leads to the development of innovative programs and exhibits for the general public.

Projection Systems

The projection is done on a special screen coated with a mixture of metals that provides high brightness and good viewing angle, allowing twenty to thirty people (or more depending on the hosting room and screen dimensions) to comfortably watch the projection.

The screen is available in three sizes:

  • 3.6 m x 2.7 m
  • 3.15 m x 2.4 m
  • 2.15 m x 2.1 m

For the projection, resolutions from 1024x768 to 1920x1080 and stereoscopic projection methods, such as Anaglyph Stereo, Infitec, Active, and Passive Stereo, are used, providing visitors with a unique virtual reality experience.

In the field of culture and education, the "Virtual Cinema" complements traditional forms of presentation, allowing for a better understanding of any topic and enhancing the museum experience.
