The Foundation of the Hellenic World celebrated the ten years of the cultural centre Hellenic Cosmos and the inauguration of the new building, the "Theatron", with two events on the 20th and the 21st of March 2008. His Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Karolos Papoulias, addressed the event on the 20th of March, while the Minister of Development, Mr. Christos Folias, addressed the event on the 21st of March.
The "Theatron" was inaugurated with a special performance-presentation created for the celebration of the ten years of operation of Hellenic Cosmos, directed by Giannis Kakleas. The director presented a unique spectacle combining images and sound with the participation of more than forty actors, dancers and musicians, who reenacted the past, present and future of Hellenic Cosmos. The performance was crowned with an impressive finale by the great singer Haris Alexiou, who, accompanied by all the actors, portrayed the history of the Greek song, creating a highly emotional atmosphere in the "Theatron". Numerous people from the fields of politics, business and art honoured the event with their presence.
